This week L.A. County unveiled new voting machines—and a longer voting period. The machines are currently being tested for the March presidential primary elections.

The tablet device will allow voters to choose up to 13 languages and the ability to change font size. In addition, it is not connected to the internet—thus no outside party interference—and it will print out a no-chad ballot receipt. The hope is that the new devices will be easy to use for all ages and offer a clear, irrefutable proof of voting choice.

And for those busy Angelenos, the voting period will be extended to 11 days.

Did you know that Heyler Realty has been a Polling Place in past elections? With the extended polling days, L.A. County will be slimming voting locations from 4,200 to 1,000. To find your Polling Place click here.
